I took the leap into freelance photography back in 2013 following six years working in retail as a photo lab technician and studio photographer. Towards the end of my employment I’d already created a website, printed business cards and completed my first couple of freelance jobs on the side so the move over to self-employment felt timely.
I most enjoy combining the creative elements of photographic composition, colour, light and shade in capturing and faithfully conveying the atmosphere and character of buildings and spaces. I’ve been specialising in producing interior and architectural images for more than ten years now for estate agents including Savills, Knight Frank and FleetMilne and public venues such as the Custard Factory, Old Rep Theatre and Midlands Arts Centre.
I often find myself photographing properties with views across my home city. As a result I’ve developed a passion for creating architectural images, featuring Birmingham and its prominent buildings and landmarks, taking advantage of having access to unique viewpoints. I offer these images, which can be viewed here, as prints and artworks.
